Mechanic in Newtown — Servicing & Repairs
From vintage runabouts to new hybrids — we work on all of it.
Newtown is about fifteen minutes from the workshop via King Street or Alexandria. It brings us probably the most varied mix of vehicles of any suburb we serve — genuinely old cars kept running by owners who love them, alongside near-new hybrids and small European hatchbacks.
We are comfortable across that whole range. Older vehicles need someone who can diagnose without relying entirely on plugging in a scan tool, and newer ones need manufacturer-level equipment. Having both, and mechanics who have worked on both, is the point.
Newtown parking is as tight as it gets in Sydney, and kerbed wheels and knocked alignment come with the territory. If the steering wheel sits off-centre when you are driving straight, that is worth getting checked before it eats a set of tyres.

Servicing Newtown — common questions
Do you service cars from Newtown? +
Yes. Our workshop is at 589-591 Gardeners Rd, Mascot NSW 2020, about 14 minutes away from Newtown. We service and repair all makes and models, and Newtown customers make up a regular part of our work. Call 02 9667 4008 to book.
Can I drop my car off before work? +
Yes. We open at 7:30am Monday to Friday, so you can drop the car in early and collect it after work. If you need to leave it overnight or arrange a different pick-up time, just let us know when you book.
Will servicing here affect my new-car warranty? +
No. Australian law allows you to have a new vehicle serviced by any qualified workshop without affecting the manufacturer warranty, provided the correct schedule, parts and fluid specifications are followed. We service to the manufacturer schedule and stamp your logbook.
Do I need to book, or can I just turn up? +
Booking is best, particularly for a full service, so we can have the right parts on hand and get your car back to you the same day. For a quick look at a noise or a warning light, you are welcome to call and drop in.
