Wheel Alignment & Wheel Balancing in Mascot, Sydney
Computerised four-wheel alignment with a printed before-and-after report you actually get to see.
A wheel alignment sets the angles at which your tyres meet the road — camber, caster and toe. Get them wrong by a fraction of a degree and the tyres scrub sideways as they roll, wearing out in a fraction of their expected life.
The economics are simple. An alignment costs a small fraction of a set of tyres, and misalignment can destroy a set in as little as 10,000km. It also affects how the car steers and brakes, particularly in the wet.
We use computerised alignment equipment and give you a printed report showing the measurements before and after, against the manufacturer specification. You should always be shown this — if a workshop cannot produce a before-and-after readout, there is no way to know what was actually adjusted.

Wheel Alignment — common questions
How often should I get a wheel alignment? +
At least once a year, or every 10,000km to 15,000km. Also have it checked whenever you fit new tyres, after any steering or suspension repair, and any time you hit a kerb or pothole hard enough to make you wince.
How long does a wheel alignment take? +
Usually around an hour for a standard four-wheel alignment. If we find worn suspension components during the inspection we will stop and talk to you first, because aligning a car with worn bushes or ball joints will not hold.
Is wheel alignment the same as wheel balancing? +
No, they are different jobs that fix different problems. Alignment adjusts the angles of the wheels and fixes pulling and uneven tyre wear. Balancing corrects weight distribution within the wheel and tyre assembly, and fixes vibration at speed. Many cars need both.
Will an alignment fix my steering vibration? +
Usually not — vibration at speed is almost always a balancing issue, or occasionally a buckled rim or worn suspension component. Alignment fixes pulling and tyre wear rather than vibration. We diagnose which one you actually have.
